Hi,

when creating an array using Replica, I would like to be able to edit the
the original object (eg a light), and have the array update.....is that possible
or something that can be added to Replica?

At present, I have to edit each object in the array individually, or
edit the original object and create a new array, place it, etc.

Thanks!
=)

It's possible with the Array Modifier (from the Modifier property tray). Unfortunatly, this modifier can't be applied on a light. I will check if this can be added.
Otherwise the Replica tool from the Edit menu creates new object instances. They don't have anymore connexion with their parent. So whe n the parent is modified, the array doesn't know about it.

It would be great if editing the parent would edit the instances in the array. Is that a possibility
in the next version of Replica?
Thanks very much,
Cal

As I said in my previous post, it is currently possible. When the parent of the Array Modifier is modified, all the instances in the array are modified.
But it can't be done with the Replica tool from the Edit menu.
